Located in Bangsar on Jalan Maarof, ZINC is Kuala Lumpur's uniquely innovative and multi-dimensional Art Space. Visitors to ZINC will see exhibitions ranging from hangings of the permanent collection to solos; group shows; performance art; installation; photography; art talks; displays of art toy collectibles; and other exciting short-term events on the art scene calendar. ZINC aims to support contemporary art in Malaysia with varied programming and a permanent collection of painting, photography and sculpture from local, regional and international artists, on display rotationally and available for viewing at anytime by appointment. The collection ranges from abstract to figurative to pop art, and includes pieces of various sizes suitable for any need. The ZINC team includes Joe Foong, Suraya Warden, Leonard Foong and H5's Tong Chee Wei. Located strategically in Bangsar, and right next to Mid Valley, ZINC is welcoming yet exclusive, with ample parking and a valet service if required. Capacity is approx. 300 standing-room only, 200 informal floor-seating/standing, 120 seated audience. Zinc Art Space exhibitions may remain hanging during functions.

Rental rate:

Standard rental of Zinc Art Space is MYR10,000 per day.
This fee includes 6 hours of set-up time (2pm-8pm) night before or day-of your event.

Facilities:

• Zinc Art Space offers free wireless broadband internet connection, air conditioning, adjustable lighting including spotlights, stereo system and pedestals;
• Valet parking available at a fee. Valet parking and traffic police should be considered for all events hosting over 30 guests;
• F&B available on site at various rates, catered per event.

Terms & Conditions for rental of Zinc are as follows:

1. Zinc Management reserves the right to cancel without notice any event or installation of event believed to be a danger the client and their team, zinc staff, invited guests and/or the general public.
2. Client is responsible for any damages and/or losses incurred by Zinc Art Space during setup, duration and take-down of event.
3. Client is required to repaint the gallery walls if affected at all during setup, duration and take-down of event.
4. Client is responsible for the bathroom facilities at Zinc during setup, duration and take-down of event, and will cover any costs should damage or loss occur.
5. Final layout and timeline of setup/take-down must be approved by Zinc Management before setup can begin.
6. Client is given 6 hours for setup before event (more time by negotiation), and must take-down/return Zinc to approved state on the same day after event ends.
7. Client must provide their own staff and equipment for installation and setup of their event - Zinc staff will endeavor to help where possible.
8. Client is responsible for attaining appropriate licensing where required to cover event, and all licenses must remain on-site at Zinc for duration of the event.
9. Client must pay 50% of total rental fee to confirm their event on the Zinc calendar, and the balance of the fee must be paid on or before day of setup.
10. 50% deposit for confirmation is non-refundable, except where the Client has cancelled their event more than 8 weeks in advance of planned date.
